- Select Canada as your country when submitting your information to a publisher.
- There are universities in the United States or the United Kingdom that have either the same name or a name that is very similar to York University.

What to do if you notice an affiliation error?
- Before publishing: Make sure your affiliation information on the manuscript during the journal submission process is accurate.
- Post-publication mistakes: If the affiliation error exists on the published article, contact the publisher and ask them to correct the mistake.
- Tip: Mistakes will typically only be corrected if caught within the first 12 months of publication.
- Mistakes in databases: Check to see if the database has an ‘error submission form’ (e.g. Scopus error form). You can use these forms to submit corrections to the database provider.
