Scott Library hosts Movimento Perpétuo: The Portuguese Diaspora in Canada exhibition 

The travelling exhibit Movimento Perpétuo: The Portuguese Diaspora in Canada exhibition will be installed in the second-floor atrium of Scott Library, from Tuesday, October 15, 2024 to Friday November 8, 2024. This captivating exhibit will be on display for one month, showcasing the rich history and contributions of the Portuguese community in Canada.

To mark the 15th anniversary of the Portuguese Canadian History Project (https://pchp-phlc.ca/), a reception was held in Scott Library the evening of Wednesday October 15, 2024. The Libraries and the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Professional Studies (FLAPS) hosted local guests and dignitaries in the Making and Media Creation Lab and the Clara Thomas Archives & Special Collections to recognize the contributions of York scholars to the project and to thank the individuals and organizations who have generously donated archival records over the past decade.
