We received a total of 20 new acquisitions in the Peter F. Bronfman Business Library this week, including 14 books from 2014! Our new books cover a wide variety of subject areas such as employee well-being, leadership, and career development. One really interesting book we added to our collection this week is called, Art as an Investment? A Survey of Comparative Assets, by Melanie Gerlis.
As this Forbes' book review discusses, Gerlis has done an excellent job of comparing and contrasting art as an investment alongside other subjective investments such as wine and real estate. Her book is well-researched and delves into the risks and challenges of investing in the art market. Our MBA students enrolled in the Arts & Media Administration specialization may find this book to be a particularly interesting read!
