Genny Jon commenced her role as a Reference/Circulation Assistant with BBL on August 18th 2014. She’s on contract with us for the following year and we are really pleased to have her aboard!

Genny is a new member of the reference team and helps patrons who need research assistance. She is also the evening supervisor and she will be supervising and instructing Unit2 staff, while carrying out circulation duties. She maintains the reserve collection by placing (and removing) print and electronic materials on reserve at the request of instructors. In addition, Genny also supports the Inter-Library Loans (also known as Resource Sharing) service in the Bronfman Business Library, and processes Inter-Campus Borrowing  requests.

Before coming to the Bronfman Library, Genny worked as a Reference Assistant at Steacie Library. She has provided research services, performed knowledge management activities, updated corporate websites, and catalogued for organizations such as a major bank, the Government of Canada, a law firm, and companies in the IT industry.

Genny holds an MLIS from the University of Western Ontario, and a B.Sc. in Honours Chemistry, and a B. Eng. in Chemical Engineering from McMaster University. She also has a certificate in Marketing from U of T, Continuing Studies.
