Hello! I’d like to formally introduce myself. My name is Stephanie Quail and I’m the most recent addition to the Bronfman Business Library team. I started on August 1, 2014 and I’ll be serving the York University community as a Business Librarian.
Before I came to York, I worked as a Business Librarian at the University of Toronto and I also worked as a researcher and library assistant for various corporate and academic libraries. I have a Master of Information and an Honours B.A. from the University of Toronto and I also completed a post-graduate certificate in Small Business studies at George Brown College.
I’m excited to be working at York and to have the opportunity to support faculty research and teaching by further developing the Bronfman Library’s business collections. Keep an eye out for me, as I’ll be stopping by MBA, School of Administrative Studies, and Human Resource Management classes in September and October to give library instruction sessions and help better prepare York students for the rigours of academic research.
Some of the subject areas I’m responsible for include:
- Accounting & Auditing
- Taxation
- Mining Management
- Nonprofit Management & Leadership
Check out our Liaison Librarian page to learn more about the business subject areas I support and to also find out more about my colleagues’ areas of expertise.
Reaching out to students and faculty via social media will also be a big part of my job. If you haven’t followed us on Twitter or liked our Facebook page yet, please take a moment to do so and help the Bronfman Library better communicate with you!
Hopefully I’ll see you sometime soon in the Bronfman Library. If you ever need help with your research or would like to learn more about the reference, teaching, and collection development services I provide, please feel free to send me an email, stop by my office in the library, or reach out to me on Twitter or Facebook.
