Here at the Bronfman Business Library we have a little tradition: we like to mark the odd special occasion. Specifically, we have in the past marked our millionth visitors:
Today (September 5th, 2007), we celebrated our 1 millionth visitor to the Bronfman Business Library. As David Clink, Circulation Coordinator, remarked, “history was made by a history student.” Our 1M visitor turned out to be a History PhD student. The student was presented with Seymour Schulich's best-selling book Get Smarter which was just published this summer and is a "mentoring book for 20 to 40 year olds with entrepreneurial aspirations". - E Watson.
Then, on November 19th, 2010 we welcomed our 2 millionth visitor – this time a 4th year accounting student!
This year, early in September, David Clink, our Circulation Coordinator and noted “prognosticator of major events” announced that this year we could expect to hit three million visitors!
And so, on Thursday March 27th at about 11am, we welcomed Ron Ghosh, a 2nd year BBA, to the library as our 3 millionth visitor. He was presented with a $50 gift card to the York University Bookstore, courtesy of the York University Libraries.
Once again, a big thank you to Ron for being such a great sport!
