Flatbed scanners are available for public use at the following locations:

Scott Library Microtext
Location:
Microtext is located in Room 118 of the Scott Library and is accessible during building hours.
Equipment to view, print, scan and save from microfilm and microfiche formats consist of:
- Three Image Data Scanpro 2000 scanners
- Three Minolta RP 605Z microfilm reader printers READ ONLY
A microcard reader is available at the Steacie Science Library.
You must have a Passport York account or a Guest Account to login.
Printing is available using a YU-card. If you do not have a YU-card you can obtain a Guest YU-card from the fill stations located to the left of the main entrance of Scott Library. Please read instructions for purchase carefully. Change is not provided.
If you would like to save scanned images, a USB flash drive would be a good option.
Once you have located an item in Omni and determined that it is located in Scott Microtext, make note of the format (microfilm or microfiche) and record the call number location.
Signs have been posted in an effort to direct users in locating microtext materials. Microfilm is shelved in the compact shelving to the right of the entrance. Newspapers on microfilm are organized alphabetically by title. Microfiche collections are held in upright filing cabinets.
A returns table is set up and we request that you do not re-shelve materials once you have finished with them.
