On July 6, 2023, all requests for books, book chapters, and articles not available in York University Libraries can be made easily from within Omni. On this date, the RACER platform will no longer be available. Any existing requests in RACER will be fulfilled but new requests will be managed by Omni. See Omni Interlibrary Loan.  

Why the change? 

Eliminating the RACER platform eliminates the need to maintain a separate account for interlibrary loan requests.  

Omni offers a streamlined approach, facilitating search, discovery, and requesting all from within a single platform. You will be able to monitor the status of your requests, renew interlibrary loan books, and receive digital files all from within your My Account page. And if you forget about a request, Omni will send you an email when it arrives. 

How do I make a request in Omni? 

To request interlibrary loans from Omni, simply log into My Account and if an item is not available from York University Libraries, click the “Get it from another library” link displayed on the Omni record.
