As part of the Digital Scholarship Centre at York University Libraries, the new Media Creation Lab provides equitable access to space, equipment and resources for students and faculty who are creating multimedia as part of learning, research, or teaching. The 1700 square foot lab, offers access to high-end audio and video recording equipment, an audio-visual media creation space, dedicated virtual reality spaces, a sound-isolated podcasting booth, portable virtual reality headsets, and workstations for hands-on digital media production work. It allows users to produce podcasts, virtual reality projects, music recordings, and other creative multimedia outputs.
