Message from the Dean of Libraries

La version française

Dear members of the York University community,

I am delighted to welcome you to York University Libraries. Our libraries are not just repositories of books and knowledge; they are sites of knowledge generation and technological possibility, intellectual exploration, teaching, learning, and research.

We are committed to providing a rich and dynamic environment that fosters curiosity, critical thinking, and lifelong learning. Our dedicated team of staff, librarians, and archivists are here to assist you in navigating the world of information, and we actively partner with our faculty across all disciplines in the University.

Whether it is our offerings in the areas of digital, data, and information literacy, access to media creation expertise, technologies and spaces, access to a wide range of digital and print resources, or collaborative spaces for study and scholarly endeavors, we are here to support your academic success. We offer support to create e-books and e-journals, curate your data, assist in your efforts for successful grants and much more.

All of us at the libraries encourage you to explore all that we have to offer across our six branches and to take advantage of our virtual offerings. Please enjoy the use of our study spaces, either on your own or for collaborating with your colleagues.

Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions or assistance you may need, and I personally welcome your ideas, questions, and comments.

Here are links to just a few of the many services we have for you:

I look forward to seeing all that we can achieve together in the pursuit of knowledge and excellence.
